Terms of Service

Welcome to trainer.sa. These terms govern your use of our website and apps (together, "the platform"), whether you are a trainee looking for a trainer or a trainer offering your services. By using the platform or creating an account, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Cancellation and Refund Policy.

1. The platform and its role

• trainer.sa is a Saudi platform where trainees can discover, compare and book independent fitness trainers for in-person or online sessions.
• Trainers provide their services as independent professionals, and the training agreement is between the trainee and the trainer. The platform's role is to organise bookings, collect payments on the trainer's behalf, and provide messaging and support.

2. Accounts and eligibility

• You must be at least 18 to create an account. A parent or guardian books sessions for anyone younger and remains responsible for them during the session.
• You log in with a Saudi mobile number and a one-time code sent to it. You are responsible for keeping your phone and account secure and for all activity on your account.
• Each person may have one account, and your details must be accurate and up to date.
• We record your acceptance of these terms and the Privacy Policy together with the version you accepted.

3. Bookings

• A booking is a request from the trainee to the trainer. It is confirmed only when the trainer accepts it within 12 hours; otherwise the request is cancelled automatically.
• When the request is sent, the amount is held on the payment method and is charged only after the trainer accepts.
• A session is complete when the trainee confirms it, or automatically 24 hours after its scheduled end unless a problem is reported.
• Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds follow the Cancellation and Refund Policy and the cancellation terms shown in the booking summary when you pay.

4. Prices and payment

• Each trainer sets the prices of their services in Saudi riyals, and the total amount is shown before you pay.
• Trainees pay a platform fee of SAR 15 per booking, added to the session price and shown in the price summary.
• Payments are processed by a licensed payment gateway. Paying, or asking to be paid, outside the platform for a booking made through it is not allowed.
• Refunds are returned to the original payment method.

5. Trainers' obligations

• Provide accurate and valid details and certificates, tell us about any change, and complete our verification process.
• Deliver sessions professionally and safely, within the scope of the certificates and licences they hold.
• Reply to booking requests within 12 hours and keep to confirmed appointments.
• The platform deducts a commission of 15% of the price of each completed session and pays the net earnings to the trainer's bank account weekly.
• Trainers are independent, not employees of the platform, and are responsible for the legal and tax obligations of their own business.

6. Trainees' obligations

• Give accurate information about your goal and level, and tell your trainer about any health condition or injury that may affect training.
• Consult a doctor before you start if you have a health condition or an injury, or if you are pregnant.
• Provide a safe, suitable space for home sessions and keep to your appointments.

7. Acceptable use

No user may:

• Harass, abuse or discriminate against anyone in any way.
• Share contact details to get around the platform before a booking is confirmed, or arrange to pay outside it.
• Post content that is misleading, unlawful or offensive to public decency.
• Write dishonest reviews, or give or ask for reviews in exchange for a benefit.
• Try to access the platform without authorisation or collect its data by automated means.

8. Reviews and content

• Reviews can only be written about completed sessions and must reflect a genuine experience.
• We may hide any review or content that breaks these terms, and trainers may reply to reviews.
• By posting content on the platform, such as a bio, photos or reviews, you give us a non-exclusive licence to display it on the platform and to promote the platform, while you keep ownership of it.

9. Health and safety

Physical training carries inherent risks. The platform does not give medical advice, and the content published on it is general information. Clinical nutrition advice is given only by practitioners classified by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

10. Limits of liability

• We take reasonable care in verifying trainers and running the platform, but we do not guarantee the results of any training.
• To the extent permitted by the laws of the Kingdom, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our liability is in any case limited to the amount paid for the booking concerned.
• Nothing in these terms limits the rights consumers have under the law.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, or to protect our users, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents us. You can close your account at any time from "My account", subject to what account deletion requires.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will tell you about material changes before they take effect and ask you to accept the new version where needed.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We aim to settle any disagreement amicably through our support team first; if that is not possible, the competent judicial authorities in the Kingdom have jurisdiction.
